The Whole Bloody Annoying Affair of Mr Tarantino

I’m probably a Tarantino apologist in so far as I agree with his stance on cinematic violence, it’s fuckin’ fun. I don’t love all his movies. My brother once again introduced me to another largely unknown director about a year or so before everyone else cottoned on. To date, I’ve failed to see Death Proof and Django Unchained, I liked Hateful Eight, thought Inglorious Basterds overstayed its welcome, Once Upon a Time got boring and bloated, and wouldn’t likely ever see Jackie Brown again. So everything else he did I liked (movie wise, I also saw he got a 2 book deal so he’s technically an author now, fuck him).

I don’t have much else to say other than I like Kill Bill and would like to see the Whole Bloody Affair, but we don’t need a sequel. None of his films outside Kill Bill (which is technically one movie except HW the sex pest forced him to split it into volumes) have sequels nor to they need them. Mans knows how to wrap up a story in one movie, even if he takes liberties with stretching tension. We’re all waiting for the final of his intended 10 movies, it could go either way. I can’t even call him a favourite I just appreciate his work and what he’s done for cinema in the last three decades. You need these unapologetic maverick types to stir the pot. Having said all that, I disagree from another standpoint that he conducted himself reasonably on a personal or professional level, guy’s also said some really stupid, ignorant shit and has an ego on him, understandably. Doesn’t detract from him being a talented director.

(I’m leaving out Dusk til Dawn and Natural Born Killers since those are writing credits and he barely got one for NBK, however I do like it, it’s probably he only Oliver Stone movie I’ve seen).
